1. Introduction and Data Protection Principles

YOUPLAYSPORTS, LLC ("Developer") is committed to protecting Your privacy. We operate on two fundamental principles: (i) We only collect data necessary to provide a secure, feature-rich sports community, and (ii) We provide clear transparency on how Your data is processed by our third-party partners.

2. Information We Collect

To provide the Application ("App"), we collect the following categories of data:

a. Account & Profile Data: Username and email (required for account creation via Firebase Authentication). Optional bio and sports preferences.

b. Premium Content: Profile and background images (Premium users only), stored securely in Firebase Storage.

c. Social & Engagement Data: Friends list, clubs joined, experience points (XP), levels, badges, and subscription status.

d. User Content & Messaging: Text-based messages and conversation history, stored in Firebase Firestore to allow delivery. We do not monitor these except for safety, moderation, or legal compliance. e. Technical & Usage Data: IP address, device type, OS version, and app interaction patterns collected via Firebase Analytics and Performance Monitoring.

3. Location and Mapping Services

a. Consent: Location access is requested via Apple's system prompt and limited to "When In Use".

b. Usage: We use location data solely to display nearby games, center maps, and calculate distances/directions via Apple MapKit.

c. Privacy Guardrails: We do not engage in background tracking, real-time location sharing between users, or movement history logging.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We use specialized providers to power the App. They are contractually bound to provide a level of data protection equivalent to this policy:

a. Google (Firebase/AdMob) (herein "Providers"): For authentication, data storage, analytics, and serving banner/rewarded ads to free users.

b. Apple Inc.: For mapping, push notifications (via APNs), and subscription processing.

5. Tracking and Advertising

For free-tier users, we may use Google AdMob to serve advertisements, the terms and conditions of which may be found here: https://adsense.google.com/adsense/terms. We abide by Your Tracking Preference settings as implemented by Apple, and will only access advertising identifiers ("Advertising Identifier") if You provide affirmative consent via the Apple-mandated tracking prompt. Any information obtained through the Advertising Identifier will be used solely for the purpose of serving advertising relevant to Your use of the App. We ensure that any third-party ad networks we use also abide by these tracking preferences and provide clear transparency regarding their data use. Developer will use its best efforts to ensure that said Providers do not use User data for advertising without User's explicit consent.

6. Data Control and Deletion

a. User Rights: You may edit Your profile data or revoke consent for data collection at any time. Upon revocation, we will promptly cease the collection and use of Your data.

b. Account Deletion: You may request full account deletion within the App settings. Deletion removes all personal data from Firebase systems, including messages and media, subject to limited retention for legal or fraud-prevention obligations.

7. Age Restriction and Security

a. Age: This App is strictly for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

b. Security: We take appropriate steps, including technical safeguards in Firebase, to protect Your data from unauthorized access or disclosure. Developer agrees that it shall properly notify User of a breach of User's data in the event of such breach.
